Privacy policy

Last updated 4 November 2026

ConvoZip (“we”, “us”) gives businesses a chat for their website and messaging apps, one inbox for every conversation, and an AI that answers from the business's own knowledge. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to hello@convozip.com.

This website

convozip.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

If your business uses ConvoZip

We collect what we need to run the service for you:

  • Account details: your name, email address and sign-in details, and the people you invite to your team.
  • Your settings and knowledge: your organization, websites, chat design, opening hours, FAQs, documents, website pages and product information you add.
  • Conversations: messages between your team, your AI assistant and your customers, plus notes and statuses your team adds.
  • Billing: your plan and payment history. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.

We use this to provide and secure the service, answer your support requests, send account and alert emails, and improve ConvoZip.

Your customers' data

When your customers chat with you through ConvoZip, we process their messages, the name, email address or photo they share or that their messaging app provides, and the website page they write from. We do this on your behalf and only to run the service for you: your business decides what to collect and is responsible for telling its customers, for example in its own privacy policy.

The chat on your website sets no cookies. It keeps a small key in the visitor's browser storage so a conversation can continue on the next visit.

AI answers

When your AI assistant is on, the customer's message and the relevant parts of your knowledge are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to write the reply. Anthropic processes this to provide the answer and does not use it to train its models.

Who helps us run ConvoZip

We share data only with providers that help us run the service, each under its own data protection terms:

  • Vercel (hosting)
  • Convex (database and backend)
  • Clerk (sign-in and accounts)
  • Resend (email)
  • Anthropic (AI answers)
  • Stripe (payments)
  • LINE, Meta and other messaging apps you connect, to send and receive your messages

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active. An owner can delete the organization at any time, which removes its conversations, knowledge and settings from ConvoZip straight away. Copies in our providers' backups expire on their normal schedule.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections. Each business's conversations are kept separate and only its own team can see them, and keys for connected messaging apps are stored encrypted.

Your choices and rights

You can see and change most of your data in ConvoZip. To get a copy of your data, correct it, delete it or object to how we use it, email hello@convozip.com. If you chatted with a business that uses ConvoZip, please contact that business first: it controls your conversation, and we will help it respond.

Children

ConvoZip is a service for businesses and is not meant for children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and tell account owners by email before important changes take effect.
